What does your typical day look like? Do you have a regular workflow?

I would love to have a "typical day," haha! As a creative person and the founder of a creative studio, every day is different, but they all share one common thread: creativity. Whether it's the simplest email or the most complex edit, I try to approach everything creatively whenever possible and worthwhile. That said, this past year has been filled with answering countless emails, experimenting with new types of content through trial and error, and making important decisions. It might not be the "typical day" you’d expect from a creative person, but sometimes these tasks are necessary to pave the way for truly enjoying the creative process later on.

Do you remember your first project or piece of work? What’s an interesting story you can share?

Yes, I definitely remember one project I worked on when I was 15. There was a road near my city that had been closed, so I sneaked in and used CGI to create a giant hole on the road as a prank to fool my family and friends. A few days later, the video went viral and even made it to the news as if it were real—"El agujero del Cañarete." I ended up having to create a "making of" video explaining that it was all 3D. That experience showed me the incredible potential of this technique to make people believe in things that never actually happened, like in the movies.

Have you ever had any creative bottlenecks? How do you overcome them?

Yes, creative blocks are inevitable. When I feel stuck, I usually take a break and do something different, like going for a walk. However, what truly helps me is spending quality time with my family. Visiting the village where my father was born and spending a weekend disconnected from technology always gives me a fresh perspective and recharges my creativity.

Do you have any advice for someone learning video editing and content creation?

My advice is to practice as much as possible—just keep creating! It’s never too late to start learning, and you shouldn’t get stuck trying to make a project 100% perfect. Embrace imperfection, because if you don’t, it’s easy to get blocked and end up making no progress at all.

What made you pursue VFX? What excites you about the topic the most?

Part of the reason I pursued VFX is thanks to cinema, but not just the movies themselves—what truly captivated me were the VFX breakdowns I used to watch online. I loved seeing how something impossible could be created through a computer. Another big inspiration for me has been the Corridor Digital channel. They make the world of VFX accessible and entertaining for everyone, and that has always resonated with me. In a way, my project, AuraProds, aims to achieve something similar.
